5 Bengali words – school work

Son1’s primary school homework is not yet very complicated, but it does provide an opportunity to learn a small number of words connected to it.

As my Bengali still leaves much to be desired, the words are useful for me too.

Maths (n) – অঙ্ক (onkō)

Read, study (vb) – পড়া (pōra)

Spelling (n) – বানান (banan)

Handwriting (n) – হাতের লেখা (hater lekha)

Practice (n) – রীতি, চচরা (riti), (cōrca)

Learn (vb) – শেখা (sekha)

(Clearly there’s one extra word this time around)
