Days of the week, like much of my basic Bengali vocabulary, could do with a bit a bit of practice when it comes to their exact spellings.
See, I’ve been spending quite a bit of times recently working at my Quizlet Bengali flashcards and it’s become fairly apparent that while I know, for instance, that ‘tiger’ is ‘বাঘ’ I still um and ah as to whether the word begins with a ব or a ভ and if it should end with গ or ঘ.
So in that spirit I’ll be revising the following days of the week, trying to remember how the conjuncts are formed and when ক/খ, প/ফ, চ/ছ etc are required.
সোমবার (sombar) – Monday
মঙ্গলবার (mongolbar) Tuesday
বুধবার (budhbar) – Wednesday
বৃহস্পতিবার (brihospotibar) – Thursday
সুক্রবার (sukrobar) – Friday
শনিবার (sonibar) – Saturday
রবিবার (robibar) – Sunday
দিন (din) – Day
সপ্তাহ (soptaho) – Week
মাস (mas) – Month
বছর (bochor) – Year
আজ (aj) – Today
আগামিকাল (agamikal) – Tomorrow
গতকাল (gotokal) – Yesterday
And there’s a flashcard set of these terms on Quizlet.
thanks lot for nice cooperation
